Jonathan Sivert brings more than 22 years of experience in federal law enforcement, digital forensics, cyber investigations, counterintelligence, and national security operations. Prior to joining Veracity Forensics, Jonathan served as a Special Agent with the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), where he conducted and led complex criminal and cyber investigations and ultimately directed enterprise-level cyber investigative and digital forensic capabilities supporting Department of the Air Force missions worldwide.

Throughout his career, Jonathan conducted and supervised digital forensic examinations involving computers, mobile devices, cloud data, vehicle infotainment systems, and other forms of digital evidence. As an AFOSI Digital Forensics Consultant and Forensic Flight Chief, he led a multidisciplinary forensic team, conducted digital media examinations, supported search warrants, and provided hundreds of consultations involving digital evidence collection, forensic analysis, mobile device exploitation, cloud evidence, encryption, and investigative strategy. His technical experience includes Magnet AXIOM, Cellebrite, GrayKey, Forensic Explorer, EnCase, Berla iVe, and other forensic technologies.

Jonathan also spent several years conducting and managing cyber investigations involving nation-state actors and other sophisticated cyber threats. His assignments included cyber operations in Europe and at AFOSI Headquarters, where he coordinated investigations and operations with U.S. Cyber Command, NSA, NCIJTF, other federal agencies, foreign partners, and private industry. He later served as Director of AFOSI’s Cyber Enterprise Division, providing strategic leadership for worldwide digital forensic operations, cyber intrusion investigations, technical exploitation, forensic laboratories, investigative technologies, and examiner training. His career also included overseas assignments in Japan, Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan, as well as service as Personal Security Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Information Security from Champlain College, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Marshall University. His professional credentials include the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics (GASF), DC3 Computer Crimes Investigator (CCI), Seized Computer Evidence Recovery Specialist (SCERS), and certifications from Cellebrite and Berla.
